Submissions Now Being Accepted
January 8, 2016, Ocean Grove, NJ – QSpot LGBT Community Center is proud to announce that submissions are now being accepted for the second annual QFest New Jersey LGBT Film and Digital Media Festival, NJ’s only annual LGBT film & digital media festival, April 7, 8 & 9. QFest‘s goal is to support and promote LGBT film and digital media, the individuals who create it, and the stories and people they highlight. QFest is produced by QSpot LGBT Community Center, one of NJ’s largest LGBT community centers. Deadline for regular submissions is February 27.
To be included in the festival, submissions must have content about or connection to the LGBT community with preference given to unreleased work, work by New Jersey residents, and work that exemplifies artistic expression (in multiple forms), education or inclusion.
“QFest recognizes and salutes the contributions LGBT individuals make to the media landscape and our world culture,” said John Mikytuck, QSpot Executive Director. “QFest provides a venue where people can experience LGBT film & digital media which might not otherwise be seen. QSpot celebrates the unique work, accomplishments, and talent of the LGBT community and we’re honored to produce QFest for that reason,” Mikytuck said.
