John Mikytuck, MS, Executive Director
John Mikytuck has addressed issues impacting the LGBT community for more than 30 years.  For many of those as an HIV/AIDS educator, advocate and filmmaker.  In 2007, Mikytuck received an Emmy Award for ‘Youth & AIDS’,  a story on abstinence-only HIV programs. In 2011, Mikytuck’s film The Newcomer, about America’s first openly-gay mayor, aired on PBS.  A native of New Jersey, Mikytuck returned to the state in 2011 to advocate for homeless LGBT youth.  Mikytuck began volunteering at QSpot in 2013 and become Executive Director in 2015. In 2016, Mikytuck successfully defended the agency from eviction, a multi-year effort led by the Lowenstein Sandler law firm.  In 2020, Mikytuck oversaw the launch of the QSpot Capital Fund to acquire and renovate the largest stand-alone LGBT community center in NJ. In Feb. 2022, QSpot purchased its current home, becoming the only LGBT community center in NJ to own its property. Mikytuck earned a bachelors of science from Cornell University and masters in journalism from Columbia University. Mikytuck is an avid traveler and scuba diver; visiting over 30 countries and diving in many, including Cuba, South Africa, Galapagos Islands, Thailand, and the Red Sea while exploring Egypt.  

Michael Victor, MAS, SAC, Buddy Program Coordinator
Michael Victor is a management and education specialist with 35+ years experience working with diversified at-risk populations in schools and health care settings. Michael has assisted school administrators on policy and administrative code in areas such as risk reduction, personal development, health and wellness, HIV prevention, and mental health issues. Michael has expertise building collaborative community partnerships and leading high-performance work teams on improved social, emotional, physical and academic outcomes for families and youth. Michael’s LGBT volunteer efforts began more than 30 years ago in the early 1990s as an HIV/AIDS prevention counselor in Asbury Park. Michael lives with his husband Victor Gatto in Red Bank.
